How to help Nathaniel's Adoption Fund

One of the main reasons it is hard to find an adoptive family for Nathaniel is the cost to adopt him. It is not cheap. His adoption may cost anywhere from $20.000 to 24.000.
Reece's Rainbow, is a mission that assist in adoption of children with Down Syndrome. They provide means for TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donations be placed in the name of a specific child, and when a family is found, this family has access to that money to assist in her adoption.
On the right you will see a link for Nathaniel's page at Reece's Rainbow. If you click on it, you will be able to see some information about him, and how much money he has in his fund towards his adoption. If you can, please donate for Nathaniel's fund!!

How did all started...

Been a physical therapist, and an adoptive mother, I have always been interested in special adoptions. I have even played with the idea of adopting a special child a couple of times (but the "right" time has never come).
Last week, I learned about a little girl with down syndrome named Carrington. She was adopted in EE, and after her parents took her from the orphanage, and changed her diapers, this is what they found:

I was shocked and heartbroken. This little girl is 3,5yo, and weighted only 11lbs. She was taken straight from the orphanage to a hospital in America, and is still there fighting for her life. Doctors have said she would have died in a couple of weeks (had not been adopted).
While heartbroken for Carrington, I worried about the other kids who stayed. While worrying, and learning, I discovered the sad truth about the kids with Down Syndrome in This specific country in EE: Kids with down syndrome are truly living in borrowed time. If they are not adopted at age 4, they get transferred from their "baby house" to an adult mental institution, where they will live their residual life bedridden, being fed maybe once a day, and without any hope. It is not common for kids to die within months or years of being transferred to these locations.
AND THEN I FOUND ZARA... On the same "site" Carrington's family found Carrington. She had a heart condition and needed a family fast. I became her Warrior Prayer, and she found her forever family.
I thought I was done, until I found out about Nathaniel. He is such a cutie! And is suffering a lot with his hydrocephaly. I was told by a neurologist that he probably doesn't have more than a few MONTHS of life, unless he can get treatment. That shocked me. No child should die alone in an orphanage. Specially when treatment is available somewhere else.
So My family is now Nathaniel Warrior Prayers! We hope to get Nathaniel to his Forever family soon!!!!
